Megan fox Tomb Raider?
Megan Fox may be replacing Angelina Jolie in a new Tomb Raider movie. Warner Brothers has plans to completely revamp the series including a new origin for Lara Croft that will possibly stray from her English aristocracy roots. E!News reports:
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the third film will completely reboot the video-game-based character, including changing her origin tale (most likely shying away from her English aristocracy roots), and introduce new kinds of missions, like interests and villains.
And, most notably, a new leading lady.
While producers say an actress likely won’t be cast until a writer and director have signed on, Fox has emerged as the frontrunner replacement, at least as far as the blogosphere is concerned.
This will be a tough sell to the few die hard Tomb Raider video game fans left. Changing Lara Croft’s origin would be like making a movie about Super Mario Brothers but saying they won’t be plumbers anymore.
Well, they might not mind if the rumors are right that “Transformers” super-hottie Megan Fox plans to step into the role. According to European site MeriStation, Fox will indeed replace the curvaceous Jolie to star in an upcoming “Tomb Raider” film, although the movie doesn’t yet have a director. Previous movies in the series have produced over $400 million in revenue, and with Hollywood’s emphasis 
on special effects and high-powered action movies these days, there’s plenty of incentive to bring Lara back. Besides, the tried-and-right formula - eye-popping action combined with eye-popping ladies - pretty much always works when your target demographic is males aged 16 - 35. It may be a while before this rumor is either proven or denied, but for the sake of argument, we have no problem with the choice. Fox isn’t really built like Jolie, but the younger actress certainly seems tailor-made for a movie that requires her to be acrobatic.
