Christian Bale: France’s Salvation

Christian Bale and his wife Sibi Blazic attend the premiere of Terminator Salvation at Le Grand Rex on Thursday (May 28) in Paris, France.
The 35-year-ancient actor recently admitted that he nearly turned down the starring role in Terminator Salvation. “I said no. I wasn’t sold on it. I just didn’t see the point in making another chapter in this mythology, I just imagined there was never gonna be one,” he told Wales Online.
“I reckon the human tale has to be present (in Terminator), but I don’t want to be deluded and pretend this is supposed to be some analysis of the human condition. I mean it’s not,” Christian said. “We’re not making a highbrow arthouse movie here. We’re making a movie that’s here to entertain people and give them a fantastic, excellent time for 10 bucks for a couple of hours.”
